dc.description.abstractThe 1986 Statesman yearbook celebrates Dr. Luna I. Mishoe's retirement following 25 years of service to Delaware State College. It additionally commemorates the graduating class of 1986 and the 1985-1986 academic year. The photographic content found within includes: Tony Brown, fraternities and sororities, Miss DSC Renee Taylor, campus buildings, registration, Reverend Floyd Flake, nursing pinning ceremony, Alvin Ailey Dancers, portraits of underclassmen, portraits of members of the class of 1986, commencement, administrators, staff and faculty, campus queens, homecoming, Founder's day, Luna I. Mishoe, athletics, Nelsen Townsend, Bennie "Catfish" George, Student Government Association, student clubs and organisations, a drug raid protest, and honor society. The last 13 pages of the yearbook are comprised of congratulatory personal ads written by friends and family of the graduates.en_US
