dc.description.abstractThe 1983 Statesman yearbook theme is "today's students, tomorrow's leaders" and commemorates the graduating class of 1983 and the 1982-1983 academic year. The photographic content found within includes: Pierre S. duPont, Dr. William Richard Wynder, William Gradshaw, classroom environments, Luna I. Mishoe, Board of Trustees, administrators, faculty, residence life staff, fashion show, Dick Gregory, black studies program, candids of student life, portraits of each member of the class of 1983, portraits of underclassmen, campus buildings, Miss DSC Lonzenia Johnson, homecoming, athletics, fraternities and sororities, student clubs and organizations, founder's day, and commencement. The last 10 pages of the yearbook contain congratulatory personal ads written by friends and family of the graduates.en_US
