1994 The Same but Different Statesman

Abstract

The theme of the 1994 Statesman yearbook honors the name change of Delaware State College to Delaware State University by recognizing the school as "the same but different." In addition to commemorating the name change, the yearbook additionally celebrates the graduating class of 1994 and the 1993-1994 academic year. The photographic content found within includes:the signing of Senate Bill 138 to change the institutional name, the construction of the science annex (Mishoe Science Center South), campus scenery and buildings, homecoming, Miss DSU ShaDowna Jones, portraits of the members of the class of 1994, a fold-out panorama of the library building's frieze, Founder's Day, classrooms, portraits of honors students and underclassmen, portraits of faculty, athletics, Student Government Association, international students, student clubs and organizations, fraternities and sororities, commencement, Employee Awards Banquet, and advertising.
