Abstract
The 1985 Statesman celebrates unity in the"pursuit of excellence and thirst for knowledge" through the theme of "we are one." The 1985 yearbook commemorates the graduating class of 1985 and the 1984-1985 academic year. The photographic content found within includes: President Luna I. Mishoe, Dr. Damus Kenjyatta, registration, dormitories, the child development laboratory, roller skating, classroom environments, candids of student life, portraits of administrators, campus scenery and buildings, portraits of underclassmen, portraits of the members of the class of 1985, Miss DSC June Bradshaw Jackson, campus queens, athletics, Women's Senate ball, commencement, student clubs and organizations, and fraternities and sororities. The last 21 pages of the yearbook are comprised of business advertisements and congratulatory personal ads written by friends and family of the graduates.
